Joe’s Selections

Race #1   Picks:   6-5-3-1

Race #2   Picks:   1-5-2-4

Race #3   Picks:   1-4-3-2

Race #4   Picks:   2-5-6-7

In this $20,000 claiming race for NW2 fillies and mares at 6 furlongs, #2 Bobbies (4-1) is an improving three-year-old with ascending speed figures in recent races. We look for further improvement today and have her on top.  #5 Danessa Baby (8-5) just missed in a $25,000 claiming race last time. Now she is moving down and looks like a top contender with this group.  #6 Baby Cloud (8-1) was outclassed while trying tougher in last. Now moving back down to a level that she can handle and should be competitive here. #7 Best Cause (5-2) was also facing tougher last time and fits better with these.

Race #5   Picks:   3-4-1-2

Race #6   Picks:   5-6-1-4

In this starter/optional claiming race for fillies and mares at one mile and 70 yards, #5 All Good Times (5-2) ran well last time but was defeated by a very good filly in Charge Account. We think she is the best of this group, and if she runs her normal race she will be victorious. Jaime Rodriguez will try to take #6 Decoupage (7-2) gate to wire. If she gets free she will be tough to catch, but she might be pressured by #1 Persisto (9-5) who does have some front-running ability. If Persisto can duplicate her effort at Keeneland in April, she has a shot today. #4 Chick’s Shadow (6-1) won her last, but will need to show big improvement to score today.

Race #7   Picks:   5-7-3-6

Race #8   Picks:   1-5-4-3
