Race #5 Picks: 4-6-1-8
Race #6 Picks: 2-4-1-7
In the $25,000 claiming race for non-winners of three races #2 Palatial Times (4-1) had to be steadied early in last and then had to deal with dirt being thrown in his face on a good track. He was still only out by a length and three quarters and should do much better if he gets a good trip today. #4 Expensive Style (3-1) always puts in a good effort and his speed figures are as good as any of his rivals today. He has a chance. #1 Heir Port (2-1) is trying the open claiming ranks for the first time after almost winning a Restricted Allowance race in last. If he can repeat his last race he will be right in the mix. #7 My Beau (12-1) is inconsistent, but if he can have one of his better days he will be in the mix.
Race #7 Picks: 10-11-6-8
In this $25,000 second-level allowance/optional claiming race at about one and a half miles on the turf #10 Made In Italy (Ire) (2-1) was the beaten favorite when he got boxed in and had to check in last. Now Graham Motion is making a jockey switch to Suarez who will try to get the horse in a better position to win. Our top choice. #11 Real Factor (3-1) almost won at this distance at 43-1 in the Cape Henlopen Stakes in last. He got caught at the wire but if he can repeat that race he has a great shot today. #6 Mokheef (5-1) also ran in the Cape Henlopen Stakes and didn’t seem to mind the mile-and-a-half on the turf. He could get a piece of the action today. #8 State of Affair (10-1) is used to running long on the turf and was closing at a mile in last. It would not be a shocker if he won today.
Race #8 Picks: 1-2-6-3
