In this second-level allowance/optional claiming race at 5 1/2 furlongs #6 Seanow (9-5) has won 4 of his last 5 and 9 of 22 lifetime. He loves running at Delaware and it’s hard to bet against him for the top spot. #1 My Boy Lenny (7-2) has been running against better and is now moving back where he can be very competitive. He fits well with this group. #2 Redeem Eddie (5-2) has been competitive at this level and has the speed figures to have a shot. If others don’t fire, he might win this contest. #5 King Nekia (6-1) won in last and is in very good form. He can’t be counted out to run a big race today.
Race #8 Picks: 4-6-1-3
In this $25,000 maiden claiming race for two-year-old fillies at 5 1/2 furlongs #4 Seven Years Later (2-1) showed early speed in her debut but found Maiden Special weight company to be too tough. Now dropping down to a maiden claiming race and we think her early speed will hold at this level and we have her on top today. #6 Holiday Connection (8-1) is bred to run early and trainer Gary Capuano wins at a high rate with horses in their second start. This filly looks dangerous today. Trainer Gerald Bennett does well with young horses and #1 Miss Artsy Nouveau (4-1) has a shot in a field with no real standouts. #3 Hold That Ghost (3-1) is getting some class relief, and that might put her in the mix today.
