Race #7     Picks:    3-7-5-1

In this second-level allowance/optional claiming race for fillies and mares at one mile and 70 yards on the turf #3 War Canoe (3-1) appears to have a good shot. This eight-year-old lifetime winner of over half a million dollars may never reach her previous ability, but even at 90% she is better than most in here. We have her on top today.  #7 Una Luna (2-1) has been running well in Florida and won an allowance race at Monmouth in last. A repeat of any of her recent races will put her right in the mix today.  A possibility. #5 Chick’s Shadow (12-1) has had some game tries on the turf this year and may be primed for a big run. She is a must use horse in the exotics. #1 B B’s Busted (9-2) had some strong runs on the turf last year and fits very well with this group of runners.

Race #8    Picks:   5-9-6-4

Race #9    Picks:   6-2-1-5

In this second-level allowance/optional claiming race for fillies and mares at 5 1/2 furlongs on the main track #6 We Miss Susie (9-5) was facing a tough group of horses in Florida before winning her last here at Delaware. Trainer Jane Cibelli shows a positive ROI on next race after a win and we like this filly on top. In the place position we are going to take a shot with #2 Take Charge Erica (6-1). She was running very well in Oaklawn but then had to be vanned off when facing much tougher at Churchill. If she is healthy and can run her Oaklawn races back, she should be able to run with his field. #1 Caught Up in You (7-2) lost to We Miss Susie by a neck two races back and should be very competitive with this group again. #5 Le Weekend (5-2) has won two in a row and the Ness/Rodriguez combination must always be respected.
