Joe’s Selections

Race #1   Picks:    5-2-4-6

Race #2    Picks:   1A-6-2-4

Race #3    Picks:   7-2-4-5

Race #4    Picks:   4-6-5-3

In this $25,000 claiming race for non-winners of 2 races at one mile and 70 yards, #4 My Danny Boy (3-1) is dropping down after showing early speed and fading with better. If he gets the lead with this group, they likely won’t catch him.  We have him on top. #6 Conquistador Show (3-2) almost always puts in a game effort but only has one win in fifteen tries.  However, his speed figures put him right in the mix and he will be competing for the top spot today. #5 Here Comes Magic (6-1) is a three-year-old and is still improving. He is capable of a big race at any time and this could be the day. A possibility. #3 My Freedom (12-1) may have been in over his head last time with $40,000 claimers. Now’s he’s running at a more reasonable level and could be competitive today.

Race #5   Picks:   1-2-6-3

Race #6   Picks:   3-8-2-1

Race #7   Picks:   9-6-1-5

In this $22,000 Maiden Optional Claiming Race for fillies and mares at One mile and 70 yards on the turf, #9 Farcical (3-1) has fourteen lifetime starts without a win, but has been knocking on the door recently. There isn’t much stiff competition for her today and she should get it done.  #6 Three Coins (7-2) finished behind Farcical in last two but should be close again and fits well with this group. #1 Inanna’s Quest (10-1) has not run since October but has been working well and has a shot if she is ready. In the fourth position we are going with first time starter #5 Sweet Tina (8-1) whose breeding indicates she might like the grass. One to play at a long price.

Race #8   Picks:   5-7-1-3
