Joe’s Selections

  • Race 1: 7-3-4-5
  • Race 2: 1-4-2-3
  • Race 3: 5-6-3-2
  • Race 4: 8-7-5-6
    • In this $16,000 maiden claiming race at five furlongs on the turf #8 Galilee (7-2) is making his debut on the turf but has run several strong races on the dirt. His pedigree indicates he might like turf sprints so we have him on top.  #7 Uncle Cecil (5-1) is also trying turf for the first time and has shown some early speed in earlier races. He has a nice workout pattern and has a chance. #5 Mahaamel (Ire) (7-5) has some decent turf outings but he needs to prove he can be successful in a five-furlong sprint. If he can get a fast start he could be dangerous. #6 Chief Reider (12-1) is getting class relief and may get into the exotics today.
  • Race 5: 7-3-2-1
  • Race 6: 2-5-10-12
  • Race 7: 1-5-2-3
    • In this second-level allowance/optional claiming race for fillies and mares at a mile and 70 yards, #1 All Good Times (8-1) has won three races in eight tries this year. This game mare seldom runs a bad race and fits very well with this group. If she runs her best she can beat this group. #5 Suiko (2-1) is a horse for the course and has run several strong efforts on the Delaware dirt track. A definite top contender.  #2 Miss Tap Dance (6-1) has been improving this year and may be prepped for a big effort today. One to consider. #3 Crazy Bea (10-1) has lots of early speed and may get an easy lead which could give her an advantage.
  • Race 8: 2-5-6-3
