  • Race 3: 6-1-4-7

    • This $40,000 first-level allowance for the three-year-olds at one mile is extremely competitive and no horses can be eliminated.  It could be a race in which to push the all button for multi-race wagers if singles in other races can be found.  #1 Ohio Class (3-1) won for fun last out. He will be facing better competition today, but he won with such ease last time we are putting him on top. We are betting that even with more pressure he will have enough to cross the wire first.  #3 Lucky Britches (8-5) had some trouble in the stretch last time and finished second. Even so, it appeared he was running out of gas and did not have enough left to win. Still, a repeat of that race will put him right in the mix today. #6 Ricochet (10-1) had some trouble in last and probably needed that race. He ran some good races as a two-year-old and should show improvement today. #7 Substantial (5-2) is another horse that has run some good speed figures and should be considered.
  • Race 7: 6-5-2-8
    • In this $40,000 first-level allowance for fillies and mares at five furlongs on the turf many of the horses have little or no turf experience. #6 Catching the Wind (2-1) is making her debut on the turf for Kate Demasi. Her pedigree indicates she might like the turf and she has been working well. We think this filly is well-intentioned, and we are putting her on top today. #5 Doc Girl (3-1) has been working at the Fair Grounds and is coming up to try the Delaware turf after one win in two tries last year. Michael Stidham trainees can win after a layoff, and she has a shot today. #2 Beautiful Grace (8-1) is an early speed type that is one-for-one on the turf at this distance. A possibility. #8 Wrapper Rule (12-1)  is one-for-one on the turf and could get a piece of the exotics today.
