|Race 2||2-1-7-6||In this starter/optional claiming race #2 Inspector Frost (5-1) is our top choice. He is exiting a key race in Keeneland. Trainer Lacey Gaudet is good at bringing horses back from a layoff, and she wins at 36% on first after the claim. Nice string of workouts and he looks ready to run… #1 Charm City Band (5-2) is very dangerous because he is the only speed in the race. He should get an easy lead with this group. He will run fast early and try to play catch me if you can… #7 Magic Mule (9-5) has found the ability to rate ever since Victor Rosales took the reins. He will be closing late and will be trying to catch Charm City Band in the stretch. A definite contender… #6 Fole’s Notion (8-1) is a very consistent runner who merits consideration, but six furlongs may be a little short for him. He needs to get a good start to have a chance.|
|Race 8||4-3-5-7||In this starter/optional claiming race for fillies and mares, #4 Melodious Singer (2-1) looks very strong. She looked like she could have run another furlong easily after a five-furlong win in her debut. She should be even better with a race under her belt and is the one to beat… #3 Easter Chocolate (4-1) will be Todd Pletcher’s second starter of the meet. She was overmatched against better at Belmont in last. This class drop should put her right in the mix, and she is a top contender today… #5 Kashan (3-1) has been working very well since her last race at Laurel. Ben Perkins is adding blinkers today, which sometimes has a positive effect. A definite possibility… #7 Flirtatious Lass (8-1) ran fairly well in last after a long break. She should improve off that race and may get up for a piece of the exotics.|
