 PICKSCOMMENTS
Race 42B-3-1-2-5In this maiden special weight five-furlong sprint for two-year-olds #2B A Dangerous Guy (part of entry, 9-2) looks like a top contender if he draws in. Sired by Violence out of a Magna Graduate mare, this juvenile colt may want to run early. He made a late run in his debut and also has some excellent works… Another horse to strongly consider is #3 Heartness (7-2). He looks like he may want to run early and has some decent works at Delaware… Trainer Jeremiah O’ Dwyer does well with young horses, and #1 Up for the Chance (3-1) has some nice works… If Scott Lake decides to run #2 Rich’s Way (9-2) instead of A Dangerous Guy, he is another top contender based on his workouts… #5 Slatts (8-1) is a possibility.  I like the 5F work on June 12th, and Claudio Gonzalez is 28% with first time starters.
Race 62-6-4-1This is another five-furlong maiden special weight sprint, this one for two-year-old fillies. I will go with #2 Buy The Best (3-1). She ran a solid 55 figure in her debut after getting a late start and is now getting Lasix. She should show major improvement today if she isn’t tardy out of the gate again… #6 R B’s Star  (5-1)  has solid breeding and Claudio Gonzalez does will with first time starters. I like that she has a 5F work under her belt… #4 Seduce (6-1) has a nice string of consistent workouts at the Fair Grounds and should be considered… #1 Still Doing Time (4-1) was a beaten favorite in her debut and is now stepping up to MSW. Will need to improve to win today, and there is a concern that she will bounce off last race.
Race 73-4-1-2In this third-level allowance/optional claiming race at 5F on the turf, It’s very hard to look past #3 Completed Pass (6-5).  This winner of 408K lifetime recently ran well in two stakes races at Pimlico including a victory in the King T. Leatherbury Stakes. He also beat many others in here in a stakes race on Preakness Day after he got off to a poor start. He looks very tough today… Kate Demasi is bringing #4 Dubini (6-1) to Delaware Park today. He faced several others in here in the Jim McKay Turf Sprint on Preakness Day. He got a terrible start in that race but had some late foot and should improve today… #1Mai Ty One On (3-1) has run some very competitive turf sprint races and trainer Jane Cibelli wins at 29% off the layoff. Should be in the mix… #2 So Street (10-1) looks a notch below the top three here, but may get a piece if any of them falter.
