 PICKSCOMMENTS
Race 57-4-5-10Race #5 is a second-level allowance/$25K optional claiming race at 5 furlongs on the turf.  #7 Kingpin (3-1) is a turf sprint specialist.  Last out he ran evenly against a tough group at Keeneland after getting bumped at the start. With this class drop he could be hard to beat today… #4 The Boss Factor (12-1) has never sprinted on the turf before. He has shown good early speed in turf route races and maybe it will translate to sprints. Worth a play at long odds since there aren’t many confirmed turf sprinters in this field… #5 Chapalu (4-1) is another turf horse who has been running routes, but has back class which makes him an interesting play… #10 Fort Fortitude (8-1) has not been running on turf lately, but he has two places and two shows on the grass in seven tries lifetime, and Ness and Rodriguez should always be respected.
Race 91-4-6-5In this allowance/$50k optional claiming race for three-year-old fillies that have never won two contested at a mile and 70 yards #1 Sonetta (7-2) is one to strongly consider. She looked like she didn’t like the slop last time, but still managed to make a small late move. If the track is dry today, I would expect her to make a big improvement and to compete for the win… #4 Cause I Said (9-5) beat several others in here last time out with a nice move on the rail. She will need some speed up front and in that scenario she will be dangerous… #6 Hope Has a Name (6-1) is an improving horse who has run speed figures as high as any of the other horses in this race. If she matches her last she can compete for the win… #5 She a Hot Mess (8-1) was not outclassed when she ran with some tough horses at the Fair Grounds. Could run a big race if she is ready off the layoff.
