Parx Racing has an 11-race card this afternoon, and Joe Parisi is on board to handicap. Post time is 12:55 p.m. Good luck!

Carryovers: None

Note: Joe likes multi-race wagers, so horses in these may be considered for doubles and Pick 3s, in particular.

RACE 1

  • #4 Miss Star Lo (3-1): Most consistent horse in the field and 40 days between races might help her performance.
  • #1 Aussie Mist (4-1): Always competitive when running for this trainer at this level in the past.
  • #2 Flashing Diamond (9-2): 10 wins in 36 lifetime starts. Has been running in open company at GP. Class drop should give her a chance.

RACE 2

  • #2 Florencia (2-1): Strong presser has good chance if the race falls apart for the speed horses.
  • #1 Frisky Feeling (9-2): Always gives a good effort and should be used in exotics.
  • #5 Lucky Olivia Rose (7-2): Second race back after being reclaimed by Joseph Taylor. Decent effort in last at this level.

RACE 3

  • #3 Neighborhood Bully (4-1): Second try at this level after a 90-day layoff. Could be ready for a big race.
  • #4 Five More Minutes (3-1): Big drop with new trainer looks suspicious, but may just be looking for a win.
  • #2 Castle Casanova (9-2): Second try at lowest claiming level of career. Will be a threat if he can run back to earlier speed figures.

RACE 4

  • #3 My Queen Michelle (7-2): Ran a decent race at this level last time. Should improve at second try at this condition.
  • #7 Tokyo (5-1): Won at the bottom level at Gulfstream in last. Three wins in 9 lifetime starts.
  • #4 It’s so Easy (5-2): Have to consider this filly, given her last three races.

RACE 5

  • #5 Luvinmeiseasy (2-1): A very good horse at one time. Has lost some of his ability but may be good enough to beat these.
  • #1 Celtic Treasure (5-2): Speed figures put him right there and he looks like he is well placed here.
  • #2 Eclipsed Moon (9-2): Closer will need some chaos on the front end but has a chance under those circumstances.
    • PICK 4 WAGER (the following wagers are meant to cover a range of possibilities while putting more money behind those considered most likely):
    • $2 P4: 5/1/7/6
    • $1 P4: 1,2/1/7/6    5/3,4/7/6    5/1/3,6/6    5/1/7/2,5
    • $0.50 P4: 1,2/3,4/7/6    1,2/1/3,6/6    1,2/1/7/2,5    5/3,4/3,6/6    5/3,4/7/2,5    5/1/3,6/2,5
    • Total: $22

RACE 6

  • #1 Always a Queen (6-1): Lots of early speed in this race may set up well for this closer.
  • #4 Mia Bella Rossa (8-5): Consistent mare almost always puts in a strong effort. Has won 4 straight and 5 out of her last 6.
  • #3 Evil Woman (4-1): Has the class and speed figures to be considered here.

RACE 7

  • #7 Pretty Pants (3-1): Sire Violence wins at 16% first 3YO and up first-time starters. Working well and not many quality experienced horses in here.
  • #6 Vino Y Queso (9-5): Has run well in first two tries.
  • #3 One for Sure (9-2): Solid workout pattern and a trainer who seems to try early with his horses makes this one playable.

RACE 8

  • #6 Le Weekend (7-2): Has been running against better. Look for her to take the lead early and go wire to wire.
  • #2 Sweet Mia (4-1): Aqueduct shipper dominated lesser competition in last. Fits well here.
  • #5 Gypsy Janie (3-1): Has faced tough competition and not disgraced herself. Nine wins in 33 starts.
    • PICK 4 WAGER (the following wagers are meant to cover a range of possibilities while putting more money behind those considered most likely):
    • $2 P4:   6/5/5/7
    • $1 P4:   2,5/5/5/7     6/2,7/5/7    6/5/1,6/7    6/5/5/5,8
    • $0.50 P4:  2,5/2,7/5/7    2,5/5/1,6/7     2,5/5/5/5,8     6/2,7/1,6/7     6/2,7/5/5,8     6/5/1,6/5,8
    • Total: $22

RACE 9

  • #5 Spirit Special  (7-2): Third after layoff and speed figures give him an advantage over this group.
  • #7 Society’s Tiger (5-1): Speed figures make him competitive in this field. Fast work on 13 Feb.
  • #2 Appealing Future (5-2): Good trainer-Jockey combo and good workouts make him a threat.

RACE 10

  • #5 Glory Song (7-2): Should get the lead and has the speed figures to keep it.
  • #6 Lost in Rome (3-1): Another speed horse who will compete with Glory Song for the lead.
  • #1 Magic Michael (5-2): Will be able to pick up the pieces if the early speed collapses.

RACE 11

  • #7 Early Entry (2-1): Should be able to move up to the 7500 NW1 easily and win.
  • #8 Hey Jabber Jaw (7-2): Most consistent horse in the race, usually gives a good effort.
  • #5 Pharaoh’s City (5-1): Has run well at this condition before. Will be competitive if he can run a figure like last time.
