[su_heading size=”21″ align=”left”]Analysis[/su_heading]

* Laurel Park on Sunday has five (5) races (2nd, 5th, 6th, 9th, 11th) scheduled to be run on the TURF. Forecast for the northern D.C. suburbs on Sunday is for Sunny skies with high temps in mid-50s and 20% chance of showers. The below selections are based on the TURF being “Firm” and a “Fast” main dirt track.

Race 1

  1. #4 – Dustin E (9-2): *Best Bet* Beaten fav. 1st after claim when going for 4th straight win; drops back to level of success
  2. #6 – Royal L. S. (5-1): Sort of a Jekyll & Hyde type, will run a horrible one then good… time for a good one
  3. #2 – Minor Crisis (3-1): More like major crisis as he’s 0 for 10 on dirt; drops to lowest level hoping to score

* Race 2

  1. #2 – Vianney Lane (5-1): Gets “Special K” back in irons; late running style fits perfect w/ speed heavy field
  2. #7 – Synergist (12-1): Was stuck in N2L seemingly forever until she discovered turf; 2 for 4 on Lrl lawn
  3. #11 – Smokin N Smokin (4-1): Get big time class relief which may help her get 3rd career win

Race 3

  1. #1 – Kisses for Romeo (6-5): NY shipper for small outfit who is 1 for 1 at current meet; 4 for 7 in ‘15
  2. #4 – Humorous Chant (10-1): Showed early speed and quit as PT fav. in 1st race in 16 months
  3. #2 – I’m Really Sumthin (2-1): Working on stamina for sprints by showing speed going long on turf

Race 4

  1. #1 – Flashy Zee (3-1): 1st appearance this meet of an Iwinski runner w/ a nice Lrl record (5:2-2-0)
  2. #5 – Remembermealways (2-1): Has been a Cash Cow over past 2 years ITM 17 of 19; 1st dirt start of ‘15
  3. #6 – Skim the Rail (8-1): Bounced around barns like a Super Ball; has back class to handle jump

* Race 5

  1. #8 – Jolity (8-1): If this FTS by Kitten’s Joy is “live” for Motion/Boyce, she’ll be 3-1 or less
  2. #3 – Tsunami Girl (5-1): Stidham trainee ran “evenly” in off the turf debut when sent off as PT fav.
  3. #12 – Channel Regatta (4-1): Nice runner-up effort in debut; should improve on firm turf

* Race 6

  1. #1 – Wolftrap (10-1): $Longshot Play$ Passed on MD Million Turf for easier spot; troubled trip last turf outing
  2. #10 – Domo Artiegato (7-2): Late blooming 4-year-old has had rough trips in 2 of 3 career races
  3. #4 – C’Mon Boys (12-1): Everything A. Goldberg runs here has a shot (11:4-2-3); nice works while away

Race 7

  1. #2 – Sweet Visionary (5-2): Best chance yet for 10lb. bug girl to get 1st win @ Lrl
  2. #7 – Greek Star (7-2): Threat on drop alone as others in here wallowing at this level
  3. #1 – Whisky Rock (2-1): Carried 7-wide in slop when 1-1 fav. on big drop; jockey choice?

Race 8

  1. #1 – Turbin (9-2): Was popular in the Claim Box this spring; takes drop of just one start for new barn
  2. #3 – Improvised Brush (9-2): Reunited w/ T. Conner as they made trip to Winners’ Circle v. similar
  3. #5 – Reggie D (4-1): 4 for 50 lifetime… Ouch! But 1st ITM on off track from 7 tries last time gives hope

* Race 9

  1. #9 – Tobias (6-1): 0 for 16 but only one to have gone 9f or more; has earned best Brisnet#s by far
  2. #5 – Wild Dynaformer (10-1): Off the turf last time was acceptable; 2nd as PT fav. in only Lrl turf try
  3. #4 – Charlie’s Darlin (20-1): Bred for turf; finally makes 1st turf start in 5th career outing

Race 10

  1. #3 – Frenchman Bay (8-5): Logical choice for A. Dutrow who still seeks 1st win of Lrl meet
  2. #4 – To Dare (4-1): Was tenacious in getting maiden win; returns after training @ Bel
  3. #6 – Segovia (7-2): “House Horse” unlucky w/ Mother Nature getting off track last 2

* Race 11

  1. #4 – Barter (9-5): Well-meant in debut; looking for improvement in 2nd to graduate
  2. #13 – Victory Slide (10-1): Jock stood up at 1st wire, finish was at 2nd one; gate-to-wire?
  3. #7 – High Above Georgia (4-1): Has recorded highest turf Brisnet# of these maidens
