[su_heading size=”21″ align=”left”]Analysis[/su_heading]

* Laurel Park has five (5) races (3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 10th) scheduled to be run on the TURF. Forecast for the northern D.C. suburbs on Sunday is for Sunny skies with high temps in the mid-60s and a 0% chance of precipitation. Unfortunately, the turf courses are still a bit soft so MJC will take the 5th, 7th and 9th races OFF the TURF while keeping the 3rd and 10th races ON THE TURF. The below selections are based these changes assuming the TURF is “Yielding” TURF and a “Fast” main dirt track.

Race 1

  1. #3 – Luv From Abuv (7-2): Could it be Lucky #13 (start) to graduate? Best chance v. these on drop
  2. #2 – Foolish Romance (8-1): Toss the turf try; SHOWed v. similar when claimed 3 back
  3. #6 – Ready It (7-2): Will be 1st dirt try in 5th career outing; A.M. works riddled w/ bullets on dirt

Race 2

  1. #3 – Don’t Be Fooled (3-1): Rally came up short on drop at this level last time; cutbacks from 7f to 6f
  2. #6 – Unbridled Ghost (7-2): Steps up after twice 2nd for $5kN2L; others in here taking same step up
  3. #4 – Vision of Green (5-1): Was “willing” 1st off the bench v. same; a small step forward here gets it done

* Race 3 – ON THE TURF

  1. #1 – Vielsalm (7-5): Not crazy about price; by far is class of field but 0 for 10 at distance; not a single!
  2. #3 – Storminateacup (20-1): Outclassed, but could get loose on lead & steal it for Team Albright
  3. #6 – Baby Situation (15-1): With a smart ride Toledo could pull upset; faced tough N1X in last turf try

Race 4

  1. #1 – Durkin (9-2): Ice ships to Lrl for 1 reason, to win; has beaten 1 foe in 2 races; steep drop, adds Blks
  2. #5 – Ripplz (2-1): Runner-up in last when 26-1; all others in here were in that race as well, except top pick
  3. #7 – Jumpin Julian (10-1): Stopped/Eased in last; shows 4 decent drills in span of 10 days to prove he’s fit

* Race 5 – OFF THE TURF

  1. #1 – Star Eighty (20-1): Won’t get these odds w/ off turf scratches; will flash speed from rail
  2. #3 – One Hot Cat (6-1): Showed she can handle dirt @ CD when w/ Romans, just not two-turns
  3. #4 – No Promises (15-1): Wonder why only been running on turf when A.M. bullets been on dirt

Race 6

  1. #4 –Alpha Darlin (4-1): Drops off win & not M/L fav?! Pradenas daring peers to claim this 8 y.o. mare?
  2. #3 – Dreaming of Bella (3-1): OTB in only other route race; needs to get easy lead early to get the “W”
  3. #2 – Flashy Eyed Pearl (7-2): EZ win 3rd after layoff; buying issues are resolved & reverting to old self

* Race 7 – OFF THE TURF

  1. #8 – Avellaneous (12-1): Been turfing but lone win came on dirt & has better dirt (8:1-1-2) than turf (5:0-0-1) record
  2. #5  – Nancy’s Gone Wild (20-1): Better on dirt as lone Lrl dirt outing resulted in runner-up effort last Nov.
  3. #9 – Bold Tresaure (15-1): Came alive on turf to break maiden; dirt efforts encouraging; needs pace meltdown

Race 8

  1. #2 – Schlosser (2-1): Been burning bettors bread in hopes of graduating; will need to shake off #7 early
  2. #6 – Wheresthesheriff (6-1): Tough call as Goldberg ships this FTS in for tag w/ “live” one in R10
  3. #8 – Hot Feet (7-2): 2nd start for Rudy Rod’s shipper/lone entry; drops, adds blinkers, 3-1 in debut

* Race 9 – OFF THE TURF

  1.  #3 – Devilish Gait (5-2): With all the (speedy) defections; it’ll be gate-2-wire; be happy w/ 3-5 odds
  2. #1A – Exchange the Limit (12-1): Entrymate scratched; only one that will challenge #3 early, to no avail
  3.  #8 – Puturseatbelton (8-1): Needs the top two to kill one another on the front end to pick up the pieces

* Race 10 – ON THE TURF

  1. #4 – No Tunes (4-1): *Best Bet* Earned best turf Brisnet#, tops in here, last outing; will get great setup
  2. #2 – Knacque (20-1): Though last out win sprinting was in slop (off turf), Magee has converted this router
  3. #1/1A – Tanka/Southern Peach (15-1): KTL will likely scratch one; slight edge to #1 though mate 2 of 5 at distance

Race 11

  1. #14– Fells Point (8-1): $Longshot Play$ Never OTB in 3 career starts, all in low-level MCL; nice late rally in 1st race off 1 yr layoff
  2. #9 – Elusive Breeze (2-1): Logical choice; runner-up on steep drop from MSW to $12,500; another drop here
  3. #1 – Not for Fun (12-1): Decent dirt efforts at this level; beaten fav. last out for $5k when roughed up at start
