[su_heading size=”21″ align=”left”]Analysis[/su_heading]

* Laurel Park has four (4) races (5th, 7th, 9th, 10th) scheduled, led to be run on the TURF. Forecast for the northern D.C. suburbs on Sunday is for Partly Cloudy skies with high temps in the mid-70s and just a slight chance of precipitation. Therefore, the below selections are based on those races being run ON the TURF.

Race 1

  1. #3 – Dixie Harbor (5-1): Beaten fav. in 2nd career race when showed nothing in debut; Adds Blks
  2. #4 – Schlosser (7-5): Got caught up in a 3-way speed duel @ Tim; speed figs are rising
  3. #5 – White Temple (12-1): Has a shot if he runs back to dirt sprint 2 back

Race 2

  1. #5 – Rub the Rock (9-5): Drops a bit off N3L score; Ham Smith trying to build confidence or dump him?
  2. #2 – Montana Storm (8-1): 1 of 2 in here dropping in class, rest jumping; have faith he’s ready off layoff
  3. #6 – Mountain Man (5-2): Strangest claim ever (from MCL $8k when 74-1; ran 6th by 17); 2 months later he’s a world-beater going gate-2-wire in most recent two races; Who’da thunk it?!

Race 3

  1. #7 – Crazy Wild Bill (5-2): Runner-up in most recent effort as 3rd horse came back to win yesterday
  2. #3 – Joey Cap (2-1): Nothing suggested Joey should make a living on turf; he ran that way in debut
  3. #2 – Kind of Silver (7-2): Barn had zero confidence in debut (85-1; 8th by 8¼ but lost all chance at start)

Race 4

  1. #1 – Humint (6-1): 1st start since last Nov.; Connections take advantage of Waiver Claiming Rule
  2. #5 – Lorilee (3-1): Came alive on Lrl dirt oval; speed figs are good enough to think she can repeat
  3. #2 – Red Sole Diva (7-2): Potts doing well w/ this West Coast transplant; easily 2nd best in last

* Race 5

  1. #4 – Perigee Moon Slide (6-1): Of the limited races on turf by this group, she has earned best Brisnet#
  2. #2 – Kadie’shorseplay (4-1): Nothing in 2 starts after D. Capuano claim; Add Blinkers, just hoping?
  3. #10 – Elusive Heart (6-1): Tries turf for first time in 5th career outing; bred to like it

Race 6

  1. #3 –Wonderful Secret (12-1): 6 y.o. w/ only 10 career races is 3 for 5 @ Lrl; needs alert start
  2. #1 – Please Explain (6-5): Del form hasn’t been holding w/ shippers to Lrl; then again folks just bet Proctor
  3. #7 – Tupancy Links (12-1): Sheds blinkers in 1st off the bench since Jan.; has run well when freshened

* Race 7

  1. #8 – Star Black (5-2): Runner-up to #1 2 races back this same level & distance, but had atrocious trip
  2. #5 – Silver Tresor (4-1): Fastest from gate to ¼ pole, may not quit today based on lack of other speed
  3. #1 – Conspirer (9-5): Keeps trying against better, but cannot register a “W” as she did v. this level

Race 8

  1. #8 – My Magician (12-1): $Longshot Play$ Away since Feb.; recent work tab is riddled w/ bullets
  2. #6 – Lunar Evening (5-2): Shug has magic touch @ Lrl Fall meet (7: 4-0-3); cuts back from 7f to 6f
  3. #3 – Malibu Honey (3-1): D’Amato West Coast castoff been preparing for ’15 debut since July; could wire’em

* Race 9

  1. #11 – No Tunes (6-1): A. Goldberg ships another “live” one down from NY; missed at distance by a head
  2. #6 – Smart N Smokin (12-1): Rough trip going 5f on Mth turf; extra 1/16th helps her closing kick
  3. #3 – Egyptian Magic (5-1): Graduated on Sar turf 2 back in MCL $40k; Linda Rice ships them in to win

* Race 10

  1. #12 – Bold Treasure (9-2): *Best Bet* Showed life when 1st time in for Tag; turf debut should be better
  2. #3 – Salty Contender (3-1): Owns best turf Brisnet# but has been beaten 16 times; bridesmaid in last two
  3. #9 – Maestra Brava (5-2): FTS for Trombetta bred for turf (by Bernstein) has long list of evenly spaced works
