[su_heading size=”21″ align=”left”]Analysis[/su_heading]

* Laurel Park has five (5) races (1st, 5th, 7th, 9th, 10th) scheduled, led to be run on the TURF. Forecast for the northern D.C. suburbs on Friday is for Mostly Cloudy skies with high temps in the mid-70s and just a slight chance of precipitation. Therefore, the below selections are based on those races being run ON the TURF.

* Race 1

  1. #6 – Profluent (9-5): Record best turf Brisnet# in last outing going long; 1 for 2 sprinting on turf
  2. #4 – Silent Tale (15-1): Last seen in May being pulled up; have faith trainer Nuesch has him ready
  3. #9 – Late Caller (20-1): Son of Stroll lost all chance at start in turf debut at this level; jock change

Race 2

  1. #2 – Latasense (6-1): Prefers an off track but could benefit from pace meltdown; 3rd off layoff
  2. #4 – Just Funnin’ Ya (10-1): In Exacta 4 of 6 @ Lrl (6: 2-2-0); stretches out off 4f & 4 ½f effort
  3. #6 – Best From Here (8-1): Crazy to pick N3L v. N4L or N1Y, but the rest are cheap speed

Race 3

  1. #9 – Convoyarie (12-1): $Longshot Play$ Keefe on steep drop (39%) after 2 races; showed late interest in debut
  2. #1 – Keep a Secret (10-1): Don’t care for Post for this Discreetly Mine FTS, but like the works
  3. #7 – Ermine and Purrs (4-5): Question ability to carry speed 6f despite big time class relief

Race 4

  1. #9 – Don’t Be Fooled (9-5): Pimentel takes call on this class dropper instead #3;
  2. #7 – Bob’s My Uncle (7-2): Looks to be the controlling speed on cut back in distance
  3. #5 – Vision of Green (10-1): 2 miserable efforts after claim; Blinkers Off; drops

* Race 5

  1. #9 – Interpid Citizen (9-2): Likes 9f (2:1-1-0) on the lawn; Karamanos knows him well
  2. #1/1A – Thunder Lord/Hurricane Creek: One will scratch, but like both; #1 for back-class; #1A distance
  3. #4 – S S Skittles (5-1): Won going 9f off turf @ Mth in June; Centeno has gotten the most out of him

Race 6

  1. #8 –Quality Wise (6-1): Gets a pass for effort on Tim speed-favoring strip; nice 5f bullet since
  2. #1 – Summer Morn (6-1): Fresh off MCL $25k win, T. Ritchey’s only entry can steal it w/ bug girl
  3. #3 – Regal Soldier (7-5): 1st time in for Tag in 13th career start; has lacked the will to win last 10

* Race 7

  1. #5 – Smart Power (4-1): *Best Bet* Game in all 3 ’15 starts but beaten fav. last two; 3rd times a charm?
  2. #7 – My Enigma (10-1): 3 y.o. steps up from $16k but is 3x winner v. a bunch of older 2x winners
  3. #8 – With Expression (10-1): Has improved Brisnet#-wise w/ each of 3 starts in ’15; at highest class level

Race 8

  1. #8 – Geepers Creepers (10-1): Toss her turf tries & she fits at this level; nice work tab since last race
  2. #1 – Cassis (2-1): Did well in Arg on dirt (9:2-3-1) but not so much on turf & synthetic @ AP in N1X
  3. #6 – Jean’s Beauty (3-1): Only one in here w/ win at this distance… in fact is 2 for 2; had traffic in both

* Race 9

  1. #11 – Savvy Sassy (6-1): Bred to love the grass; shipper makes debut turf for Delacour who’s 31% at meet
  2. #8 – Pennies Appeal (6-1): There’s plenty of speed in here to setup her late run; beaten fav. in last
  3. #10 – Kingston Terrace (3-1): AP Shipper goes for 4th straight “W”; needs to avoid suicidal pace

* Race 10

  1. #14 – Luv From Abuv (6-1): All 6 turf tries were in ’14 in MSW, some w/ excuses; 3rd off layoff
  2. #10 – Leoness (15-1): Sheds blinkers; drops in for Tag 1st time when racing on turf
  3. #4 – Holy Scat (12-1): Brisnet# continues to ascend at this level, distance & surface
