* Laurel Park has four (4) races (4th, 5th, 7th, 8th) scheduled to be run on the TURF. Forecast for the northern D.C. suburbs on Friday is for Sunny skies with temps in the high 80’s and no chance of rain. Therefore, the below selections in those races are based on the belief they will be run ON the TURF.

Race 1

  1. #5 – Andiemac (3-1): Robb does amazing job (36%) w/ 2nd time starters; Add Blinkers
  2. #3 – Destination Love (7-2): 1 of 2 Ham Smith uncoupled entries; late interest in debut
  3. #6 – Fiveoclocksomwhere (6-1): All the “Parrotheads” will be on this FTS; nice work tab

Race 2

  1. #7 – Sortano (8-5): Away since New Years’ Day but takes advantage of Waiver Claiming rule
  2. #2 – Burning Mandate (5-1): Encountered traffic when much the best @ Prx 2 back
  3. #3 – Rainbowappears (15-1): Fits condition by 8 days; does well at distance (3:1-2-0)

Race 3

  1. #9 – Visionary Wonder (3-5): Well backed in debut but lost all chance at start
  2. #7 – Giant Hug (10-1): Big class drop after 2 (last place) career starts
  3. #8 – Oohlala (12-1): Yeah, that’s how bad this group is landing here 0-15

* Race 4

  1. #1 – One Hot Cat (7-2): *Best Bet* Couldn’t cut it @ CD; has turf pedigree & decent turf work
  2. #7 – Salty Contender (6-1): Beaten fav. last outing; extra ½ furlong helps
  3. #2 – Dancing Magician (9-5): Drops back in for Tag; has best Brisnet# on turf

* Race 5

  1. #1A – It’s Charlie Again (12-1): $Longshot Play$ 1 for 1 at 9f; both wins on turf from 9 starts
  2. #9 – Testudo (10-1): Excuses in last two tries on the turf; gets some class relief
  3. #3 – Key of Dubai (15-1): Recorded best Brisnet# in only turf try at this distance

Race 6

  1. #7 – Top of Mind (9-5): Was best 3 y.o. in MD this winter; time off to mature?
  2. #2 – Harrythenaivgator (15-1): Stretching out a good move; can compete off bench
  3. #8 – I’m Mr. Blue (7-2): Always gives an honest effort; 3 for 8 @ Lrl, 2 at distance

* Race 7

  1. #3 – Jane Peterson (6-1): Not much speed in here, this one can go gate-2-wire
  2. #9 – Sistas Stroll (6-5): Drops after two G3 races that either performance wins here
  3. #14 – Macha (12-1): 1 for 1 at distance and has turf back class; deserves a shot

* Race 8

  1. #5 – Dune Dancer (6-1): Seems to be a traffic magnet; a clean trip makes him 2 for 25
