The forecast for the Baltimore metropolitan area on Sunday is for Partly Cloudy skies with high temp near 90 with just a 20% chance of scattered thunderstorms. The below selections in those races are based on the belief they will be run ON the TURF.

Race 1

  1. #3 – Mandy’s Punch (6-1): Sillaman doing right IMHO cutting back to 6f 1st off claim       
  2. #4 – Starship Marquis (9-5): 12 starts, 2 for a tag, both @ Pim, both best efforts of career  
  3. #7 – Check Your Six (2-1): 3 y.o. 1st time in v. elders & tag; lengths better on paper     

 

Race 2

  1. #2 – My Cousin Fay (3-1): *Best Bet* One of many Tam shippers for Ness, which have been winning
  2. #5 – Wildcat Honey (10-1): Step up after win but has back class to handle these

  2. #3 – Devilish Gait (5-2): Recent turf runner-up effort saw 1st & 3rd place finishers win back

  • The BEST BET of the Day (60: 13-15-11) Angel Code (4th race: 5-1 M/L; 4-1 PT) accelerated to the early lead, set the pace along the rail, bobbled midway on the bend and weakened late to salvage 3rd and return $2.20 to SHOW.
  • The LONGSHOT PLAY OF THE DAY (52: 6-6-12) Clowns to the Left (2nd race: 8-1 M/L; 6-1 PT) four wide early, took closer order three wide mid turn, gave chase to mid-stretch then came up empty finishing 4th.
