* Pimlico Race Course has five (5) races (3rd, 5th, 7th, 8th, 10th) scheduled to be run on the TURF. The forecast for the Baltimore metropolitan area on Saturday is for Mostly Sunny skies with high temp in the mid 70’s. The below selections in those races are based on the belief they will be run ON the TURF.

Race 1

  1. #2 – Magritte (9-5): Trombetta runner was 2nd best by 6+ in front of #1 in here
  2. #1 – Middletown Gal (6-1): Should benefit from extra distance today
  3. #3 – Honest Dude (7-2): Must respect any 1st time starter for Stronach Stable

Race 2

  1. #4 – American Ransom (4-1): Away for over a year; won 4 races back same scenario
  2. #5 – Aji (5-2): Nice try 1st after claim at same level; wins if he can run back to that one
  3. #7 – Sideways Vision (3-1): Juarez/Potts a potent combo but this one needs to improve

* Race 3

  1. #5 – Swellelegent (5-1): Adds Blinkers; wanted turf last outing; bred for turf
  2. #8 – Coraggio (6-1): Tam shippers have been winning no matter where they’ve run
  3. #9 – Back Scatter (6-1): Been bridesmaid the last four races; it’s time to be the bride

Race 4

  1. #6 – Exchange Student (3-1): Competitive v. better in 1st try for McMahon barn
  2. #2 – Distorted Disciple (5-1): Only a handful of races on fast track been good ones
  3. #1 – Italian Delight (4-1): Tossed a Clunker when sent off the Post Time fav.

* Race 5

  1. #2 – Curve of Stones (9-5): Wins and drops?! One reason why Ness is at 31%
  2. #6 – Incisive Strike (8-1): Away since Nov. ’14; takes advantage of Waiver rule
  3. #3 – Out of the Fire (12-1): Ditto Incisive Strike comment; dangerous off bench

Race 6

  1. #2 – It’s a Plane (9-2): Blinkers go on; note bullet work since last start; drops again
  2. #1/1A – Rocky Garland/Richard’s Gold (6-1): #1 could be a scratch; #1A DQ’d from win
  3. #4 – Whisky Rock (6-5): 5 y.o. maiden was runner-up at this level 2 races back

* Race 7

  1. #1 – Texas Zip (3-1): *Best Bet* Owns highest turf Brisnet#; Sheppard due for a “W”
  2. #12 – Whiskey N Gambling (8-1): Poor effort in Pim debut sprinting; like the stretch out
  3. #10 – Greek Star (12-1): Has gone the distance on turf twice in career, runner-up once

* Race 8

  1. #4 – With Expression (3-1): Failed as fav. @ Aqu; H. Wolfendale takes over for son-in-law
  2. #11  – Don Kela (12-1): An encouraging 2nd time turf run when “Very Wide”
  3. #1 – All Alone (9-2): Nice late run in turf debut; X-Man in irons is 1 for 1 w/ trainer

Race 9

  1. #5 – Scuba (9-5): A standout v. this group; traffic in last and still prevailed
  2. #2 – Dynamic Strike (5-1): Field lacks early speed, so he could take lead by default
  3. #6 – Lunar Rock (7-2): Nice win but had perfect setup behind tons of early speed

* Race 10

  1. #4 – Madog (15-1): $Longhost Play$ 3rd off layoff; woke up last time when Blks Off
