- The BEST BET of the Day (44: 12-11-6) Peron (3rd race: 2-1 M/L; 1-1 PT) quickly advanced in the two path to take the lead entering the stretch, was put to a drive in upper stretch and drew away late to win by 3 lengths returning $4.20 to WIN, $2.60 to PLACE and $2.40 to SHOW.
- The LONGSHOT PLAY OF THE DAY (38: 6-4-10) Winning Saga (8th race: 10-1 M/L; 8-1 PT) rated back off rivals soon after the break, steadied along then checked soon into the turn, recovered and advanced inside a foe nearing the lane, came out in the final furlong and finished with interest to finish 3rd and $4.20 to SHOW.
