* Pimlico Race Course has four (4) races (3rd, 5th, 7th & 9th) scheduled to be run on the TURF. Forecast for the Baltimore metropolitan area on Saturday is Mostly Sunny with highs in the 60’s. Hopefully, these races will remain ON the TURF, so below selections are based on that belief.

Race 1

  1. #1 – Next Best Thing (6-5): Has the Tactical Speed to wait for the Early Speed to back up
  2. #6 – Too Clever by Half (8-5): 1st 6f dirt try in 33 starts while going for natural Hat Trick
  3. #5 – Take It Inside (15-1): ’15 debut and usually routes; could be prep for next outing

Race 2

  1. #5 – Perique (3-1): Looking for improvement 2nd after layoff & switch to McCarthy
  2. #4 – Moonstone Magic (2-1): Lightly raced 4 y.o. never runs a bad race
  3. #2 – Miss Moonshine (12-1): Jekyll & Hyde (Good then Bad) race line; 4-1-1-1 @ Pim

*Race 3

  2. #11 – Another Seven (6-1): 5 y.o. been away 18 months; attracts Russell to ride
  3. #9 – It’s a Plane; (6-1): 2nd in debut on dirt 10 mo. ago; Ham Smith is 21% w/ 1st on grass

Race 4

  1. #4 – Bo Badger (9-2): *Best Bet* Horrible trip in last outing; Closer needs pace help
  2. #3Sideways Vision (7-2): Game win at this level & distance 9 days ago; bounce?

  2. #6 – Cross Mountain (10-1): Owns 2 wins from 5 races on Pim turf
  3. #13 – Easter Service (6-1): Nearly a week late, same as running style; 9 y.o. may need one

Race 6

  1. #3 – Miners Quest (8-1): $Longshot Play$ Draw line thru last; focus on 6f results; 3:1-0-1 @ Pim
  2. #7 – Well Played (3-1): Light came on in most recent when winning EZ
  3. #1 – Montana Storm (15-1): 8 y.o. just notched 2 career win, 1st was @ Pim; don’t ignore

*Race 7

  1. #13 – I Am the King (5-2): Like the turf record of this old pro; won only try on Pim turf
