  • On Sunday, Mar. 15th at Laurel had 5 winners from 9 races (2 Top Selections; payoffs in BOLD) having $2 WIN pay-off of $5.40 (2nd race), $3.60 (3rd), $4.00 (4th), $8.20 (6th) and $29.60 (7th). 
  • The BEST BET of the Day (23: 4-8-2) Souper Knight (8th race: 3-1 M/L; 2-1 PT) settled off the pace, progressed three wide into the stretch, shifted out wider departing the three sixteenths and closed steadily to gain a tie (dead heat) for the show returning $2.10 to SHOW.
  • The LONGSHOT PLAY OF THE DAY (20: 3-0-7) Zapata (4th race: 6-1 M/L; 7-2 PT) stalked the pace four wide, bid to apply pressure after three furlongs, forced the pace to upper stretch then faded in the final furlong salvaging third to return $2.80 to SHOW.
