  • The BEST BET of the Day (20: 4-7-1) Cerro (4th race: 9-5 M/L; 1-1 PT) sprinted clear early, but has the eventual winner (Souper Lucky) at his flank along the backstretch, then could keep pace, settling to be a well beaten second while well clear of the 3rd place finisher, returning $3.20 to PLACE and $2.10 to SHOW.
  • The LONGSHOT PLAY OF THE DAY (17: 2-0-6) Lady Vivien (5th race: 9-2 M/L; 5-1 PT) was no longshot to the betting public as he was bet down to the 2-1 second choice… raced inside horses on the backstretch, eased out on the turn, was fanned to the five path at the head of the lane, chased the pace and weakened just yards before the wire finishing 4th a nose and two necks behind the winner got up late take the third spot to return $5.20 to SHOW.
