YESTERDAY’S NEWS

  • On Friday, Jan. 30 at Laurel had had just 4 winners from 9 races having $2 WIN pay-off of $4.20 (1st race), $3.40 (2nd), $2.60 (4th) and $5.60 (9th). Of the suggested Multi-Race Wagers cashed the chalky EARLY DOUBLE (R1-R2) for $7.60.
  • The BEST BET of the Day (10: 0-4-1) Table (3rd race: 9-2 M/L; 2-1 PT) lacked speed, hugged the rail on the turn, was steered to the three path turning for home and offered a mild rally, losing by a couple lengths to settle for the PLACE purse, returning $2.80 to PLACE and $2.40 to SHOW.
  • The LONGSHOT PLAY OF THE DAY (8: 0-0-4) Holly’s Image (8th race: 8-1) was SCRATCHED due to being entered to run in race 4 on the Laurel Park Saturday (Jan. 31).
