YESTERDAY’S NEWS

  • On Saturday, Jan. 10th at Laurel had 6 winners from 9 races having $2 WIN pay-offs of $36.80 (2nd race), $3.40 (3rd), $15.60 (4th), $20.80 (5th), $6.60 (6th) and $10.80 (8th). Of the suggested Multi-Race Wagers cashed the R3-R5 PICK-3 for $99.25 (cost $13.50).
  • The BEST BET of the Day (6: 0-2-1) Warrioroftheroses (6th race: 4-1 M/L; 7-2 PT) did not get an easy lead going into the first turn, as Kayla Albright abroad #1 A.P. Cino smartly hustled to the lead, making Travis Dunkelberger use too much of his mounts energy to duel two wide, failed to go on leaving the far turn, faltered and was eased in the drive.
  • The LONGSHOT PLAY OF THE DAY (5: 0-0-3) Sweet Solilioquy (5th race: 6-1 M/L; 5-2 PT) lost all chance at the break when bumped soundly by her foe to the inside (ala Bayern and Shared Belief in BC Classic, but worse) as jock checked giving rest of the field 8 lengths, ran on three deep on the turn and trailed, finishing last (7th).
