In Spa Selections, Saratoga on-site correspondent Joseph Aiello provides picks for a handful of key races at Saratoga, including all of the exciting stakes action!

Race 7 – Coronation Cup Stakes

1. #9 Lady Suebee (5-1) – Tough beat last time in her stakes try, but won at six furlongs two back and keeps jockey Manny Franco

2. #4 Mominou (7-2) – Could play the filly to the inside of this Toner trainee if she is overbet, but she seems like a safe pick finishing second or better in her last four tries

3. #10 Broadway Run (6-1) – Narrowly beaten last time in a distance that may have been too far, so cutting back to five and a half should help

Race 8 – Alw 50000s

1. #5 Curiousncuriouser (9-2) – Won twice at six and a half, and is in her best form recently, winning by seven in her last try

2. #8 Special Relativity (7-2) – One for one at this distance and a jockey trainer combo that has been working well together

3. #1 Haynesfest (2-1) – Just seems to have a bit of an issue winning, but mostly solid performances this year should put her in the mix

Race 9 – OC 62500b

1. #4 Focus Group (4-1) – Even without much pace, this Klaravich colt almost closed last race, and should do the same here with a bit more speed

2. #1 Soglio (3-1) – Ran a tough third in a Grade III earlier this month, and should at least find himself on the board

3. #10 Channel Cat (5-1) – Slight edge over Snap Decision because of class, including the Grade I Belmont Derby in early July
