Off to the Races on The Racing Biz Radio Network returns Saturday, June 24.

Guests include Hall of Fame trainer King T. Leatherbury and breeder Bob Powell of Virginia’s Snow Lantern Thoroughbreds.

  • Leatherbury trains the great Ben’s Cat, the 11-year-old multimillionaire who is 7-2 on the morning line for Saturday’s Mister Diz Stakes at Laurel Park.
  • Powell’s Snow Lantern operation bred Long On Value, the multiple graded stakes winner who runs in Saturday’s Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot.

As always, Derby Bill Watson will be on to handicap, tomorrow focusing on the stakes races from Laurel Park for Virginia- and Maryland-bred horses. Nick Hahn will join him.

The one-hour program airs at 10:00 a.m. each Saturday on Richmond’s ESPN 950 AM, and on 102.7 FM and 1240 AM out of Petersburg. Additional stations will be announced as they come online. It also is available via streaming (see link below).

The show will focus on Thoroughbred racing and breeding around the mid-Atlantic region and across the country.

Guests in prior weeks have included trainers Cal Lynch (El Areeb) and Graham Motion (Irish War Cry), as well as jockey Trevor McCarthy, and others.
