The April 22 edition of Off to the Races on The Racing Biz Radio Network turns its attention to the mid-Atlantic.

Guests will include Maryland Jockey Club racing analyst Stanton Salter, who also hosts the popular Baltimore-based Maryland Horse Radio, and The Racing Biz West Virginia correspondent Ted Black.

Salter will discuss Laurel Park’s big, five-stake card on Saturday, while Black will help listeners dig into the undercard of the $1.25 million, Grade 2 Charles Town Classic.

The show will also feature Derby Bill Watson, providing a Pick-4 play in Charles Town’s $100,000 guaranteed pool, and Nick Hahn, discussing the Kentucky Derby field as it takes shape.

The one-hour program airs at 10:00 a.m. each Saturday on Richmond’s ESPN 950 AM.  Additional stations will be announced as they come online. It also is available via streaming (see link below).

The show will focus on Thoroughbred racing and breeding around the mid-Atlantic region and across the country.

Guests in prior weeks have included trainers Cal Lynch (El Areeb) and Graham Motion (Irish War Cry), as well as jockey Trevor McCarthy, and others.

“I’m excited to turn our attention to some of the great live racing right here in our own backyard, ” said Frank Vespe, owner-publisher of The Racing Biz and host of the show.
