BIG DAYS

Small crowds and deserted grandstands are the unfortunate norm at most racetracks these days.  But here in the mid-Atlantic, tracks come alive a few times a year for events like the Preakness, Delaware Handicap, and others.  A few scenes from the region’s big days:
